Funamu PUDO Partner Agreement
Last updated: 2 November 2026
This agreement applies when you run a pick-up and drop-off point (PUDO) with Funamu: a shop, station or other place, or a company with several locations. It sits alongside the Funamu Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. By applying or by receiving a parcel you agree to it.
1. The parties
Funamu is run by DOBOKAKA UG LTD, a private company limited by shares registered in Uganda, registration number 80034078892868 (Kisenyi, Kakiri Town Council, Wakiso District; P.O. Box 118605, Wakiso; info@funamu.com). You remain an independent business. Nothing in this agreement makes you Funamu's employee or agent.
2. Joining
- You apply in the Funamu PUDO Partner app with a Funamu account, with the location's details, opening hours and storage space. Funamu checks the location and may approve, ask for more, or decline with a reason.
- A company can add locations and invite workers, each limited to the locations they work at. You are responsible for what your workers do in the app.
- Keep your opening hours, capacity and details up to date, so customers and Delivery Partners are never sent to a closed or full PUDO.
3. Receiving parcels
- Receive a parcel only through a handover in the app: check each parcel, then show your PIN to the person handing it in (merchant or Delivery Partner). They enter it, and the parcel is then in your care.
- Report a missing, damaged or wrong parcel in the handover instead of accepting it.
- Store parcels safely, dry and out of public reach, and keep them where the app says they are.
4. Handing parcels over
- To a customer: hand the parcel over only when you have entered the customer's delivery PIN from their app.
- To a Delivery Partner: hand a parcel over only when you have entered the PIN shown in that Delivery Partner's app.
- Sealed bags: a sealed bag leaves or arrives only with its seal and the right PIN.
- Never hand over a parcel without the right PIN, and never give your own PIN before you have the parcel. Every handover records the time and, where the phone allows it, the place.
5. Uncollected parcels and returns
If a customer does not collect a parcel by the deadline shown in the app, follow the app: the parcel is handed back by PIN to the Delivery Partner assigned to return it. Returns that customers hand in at your PUDO are handled the same way.
6. Earnings
- You earn the amounts shown in the app for the parcels you handle (for example receiving, storing and handing over), credited when the work is recorded.
- You are paid when you use Request Payout, into your registered MTN or Airtel Mobile Money account, through Funamu's payment service provider (Paytota). The minimum request is UGX 5,000, one request a day; a Transaction Fee of UGX 999 applies to a request below UGX 500,000, and your balance must cover the amount and the fee. The app shows these figures before you confirm, and the fee is returned if the payout fails.
- You are responsible for your own taxes and running costs.
- Funamu keeps the records of your handovers, earnings and payouts for at least 5 years and shows them in the app.
7. Conduct
- Keep communication about Funamu parcels inside Funamu. Moving a customer or a payment outside Funamu is not allowed.
- Treat customers, merchants, Delivery Partners and Funamu staff with respect, and follow the Acceptable Use Policy (funamu.com/acceptable-use). Never accept a parcel you believe holds prohibited goods; report it in the app.
- Funamu may warn, limit, suspend or close a PUDO Partner account for breaking this agreement, telling you the reason. You can give your side to Funamu Support and ask for the decision to be looked at again.
8. Personal data
- You receive customers' personal data (name, contact, delivery location, parcel details) only to do the work for an order. Use it for nothing else, keep it confidential, do not copy it outside the app and do not contact a customer about anything except their order.
- Tell Funamu at once (Help in the app, or info@funamu.com) if you think personal data from Funamu has been lost, stolen or seen by someone who should not see it.
- Funamu handles your own personal data as the Privacy Policy explains.
9. Closing
You can ask to close a PUDO location or your account in the app. Parcels in your care are handed over and money owed in either direction is settled first.
10. Changes, law and contact
Funamu may update this agreement and shows the new version in the app with the date it takes effect; important changes need your acceptance. The laws of Uganda apply. Questions: info@funamu.com.
