Funamu Delivery Partner Agreement

Last updated: 2 November 2026

This agreement applies when you deliver with Funamu as a Delivery Partner: an individual rider or driver, or a delivery company with two or more vehicles. It sits alongside the Funamu Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. By applying or by accepting a delivery you agree to it.

1. The parties

Funamu is run by DOBOKAKA UG LTD, a private company limited by shares registered in Uganda, registration number 80034078892868 (Kisenyi, Kakiri Town Council, Wakiso District; P.O. Box 118605, Wakiso; info@funamu.com). You are independent: you choose when to go online and which offers to accept. Nothing in this agreement makes you Funamu's employee or agent: you provide delivery services as an independent contractor, and you are not paid wages.

2. Joining and verification

  • You apply in the Funamu Delivery Partner app with a Funamu account and give your vehicle details. A delivery company adds its vehicles and drivers and is responsible for them.
  • Before you can go online, your identity is verified with your identity document and a face photo, and Funamu Operations reviews them.
  • Keep your details, vehicle and documents true and up to date, and hold the licences and permits the law requires for your vehicle.

3. Going online and offers

  • You start offline. When you go online, the app shares your location so it can send you offers near you, show customers their delivery and record handovers. When you go offline, location sharing stops.
  • Accept only offers you can carry safely with your vehicle. If you can no longer do an accepted delivery before pickup, release it in the app with the reason, as early as you can.
  • When you arrive at a merchant, check in from the app at the pickup point.

4. Handovers by PIN

  • At the merchant or PUDO, show the pickup PIN from your app. The parcel is yours to carry only once they have entered it.
  • At the customer, enter the customer's delivery PIN only when you hand the order over in person. At a PUDO, enter the PUDO's PIN when you hand a parcel in.
  • Every handover records the time and, where your phone allows it, the place. Handover PINs need a connection.
  • Never hand a parcel over without the right PIN, never ask a customer to give their PIN before they have the parcel, and never share a PIN shown to you.

5. Care of parcels

While you hold a parcel, you are responsible for its care. Keep it safe, dry and sealed. If you cannot deliver, follow the app: deliver again, take it to a PUDO, or return it as Funamu Operations decides. Report a problem with a parcel at once.

6. Earnings

  • You earn the delivery fee for each delivery you complete, less Funamu's share, as shown on the offer before you accept it.
  • Your earnings become available in your Wallet when the delivery is confirmed. You are paid when you use Request Payout, into your registered MTN or Airtel Mobile Money account, through Funamu's payment service provider (Paytota). The minimum request is UGX 5,000, one request a day; a Transaction Fee of UGX 999 applies to a request below UGX 500,000, and your balance must cover the amount and the fee. The app shows these figures before you confirm, and the fee is returned if the payout fails.
  • When a customer returns an item after you delivered it properly, your earning for that delivery is kept.
  • You are responsible for your own taxes, the costs of your vehicle and any insurance the law requires for it.
  • Funamu keeps the records of your deliveries, earnings and payouts for at least 5 years and shows them in the app.

7. Conduct

  • Drive safely and obey the law, including the Traffic and Road Safety Act and the rules for your vehicle. Follow the Acceptable Use Policy (funamu.com/acceptable-use).
  • Never carry a parcel you believe holds prohibited goods; report it in the app instead. Never deliver under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  • Keep communication about Funamu deliveries inside Funamu. Asking for payment or contact outside Funamu is not allowed and messages that try it are blocked.
  • Treat customers, merchants, PUDO Partners and Funamu staff with respect. Customers may rate deliveries.
  • Funamu may warn, limit, suspend or close a Delivery Partner account for breaking this agreement, telling you the reason. You can give your side to Funamu Support and ask for the decision to be looked at again.

8. Personal data

  • You receive customers' personal data (name, contact, delivery location, parcel details) only to do the work for an order. Use it for nothing else, keep it confidential, do not copy it outside the app and do not contact a customer about anything except their order.
  • Tell Funamu at once (Help in the app, or info@funamu.com) if you think personal data from Funamu has been lost, stolen or seen by someone who should not see it.
  • Funamu handles your own personal data as the Privacy Policy explains.

9. Closing your account

You can close your Delivery Partner account yourself in the app once you have no open deliveries and nothing is owed. You can ask to reopen it within 12 months.

10. Changes, law and contact

Funamu may update this agreement and shows the new version in the app with the date it takes effect; important changes need your acceptance. The laws of Uganda apply. Questions: info@funamu.com.
